The 2018 Arnold Pro Strongman World Series had its last stop on the tour this past weekend with Martins Licis winning the contest to claim the 7th qualifying spot. Now that all the qualifiers are over we have our lineup for the 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman World Championship and it looks very similar.

  1.  Hafthor Bjornsson (Iceland) – 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic USA Champion
  2.  Rauno Heinla (Estonia) – 2018 Arnold Classic Australia Champion
  3.  Olekly Novikov (Ukraine) – 2018 Arnold Amateur World Champion
  4.  Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia) – 2018 Arnold Classic South America Champion
  5. Jean-Francois Caron (Canada)  – 2018 Arnold Classic Africa Champion
  6. Brian Shaw (USA) – 2018 Forts Warwick Champion
  7. Martins Licis (USA) – 2018 Arnold Classic Europe Champion
  8. Mateusz Kieliszkowski (Poland) – Wild Card 25 points
  9. Jerry Pritchett (USA)– Wild Card 25 points
  10. Matjaz Belsak (Slovenia)– Wild Card 25 points

The only changes in the lineup is the winner of the Arnold amateur has changed other than that despite multiple qualifiers we have the same 8 of the same 10 athletes from 2018 returning in 2019 with the only other difference is Martins Licis being swapped for Dimitar Savatinov. With how great the 2018 Arnold was having the same lineup back is not a bad thing at all. The questions going into the 2019 Arnold are can Thor win again and keep up his reign of dominance he has in 2018? Will Brian Shaw be back after a few injuries and is 2019 the year where Kieliszkowski and Licis start winning their own titles.
