Hey guys – I just moved and haven’t yet settled in to a spot where I can easily do moving events. I’m doing this Saturday’s session (Yoke runs and stone loads) on Friday and am interested in your thoughts on the best stationary work to sub for the yoke runs (I know nothing is really the same). Given that front squats and deadlifts were already programmed this week, would some sort of back squat training be appropriate? Thanks for the ideas!

It may seem odd but barbell lunges could work.

As fas stones sub a bunch of plates put together, stones, or anything that involves triple extension (kettlebell swings, cleans, etc)

Thanks, Kalle. Lunges actually do make sense – they get more of the back foot to front foot weight shift.

BTW: the templates have been great so far. I’m new to everything strongman, but have been lifting for years. These and a session or two with each implement kept me from feeling completely out in the cold at my first competition last month.
