I have been traditionally using sambas for my moving events but as of late find that I get a faster time with running shoes however they tend to not have the best traction on smooth surfaces and tend to be made out of a mesh upper which for me makes my foot feel unsecure. What shoes work best overall? I have been looking at Merrell load edge. This is my first year at NAS Nationals and I want to be able to go 100%.

    Hey Sean,

The main things to consider are that the sole is solid, somewhat thin and flat.

For traction look for something with a gum sole.

    Hope this helps!

Nill Josue Banegas-Saybe I’ve been using the Reebok Crossfit TR Lite for the last few years and have been very happy. But I’ve wanted to try nike MetCon for awhile….

Nichole Reigle I just got metcons and they are fabulous!!

Luke Davies I started using crossfit nanos on pretty much everything now.

Daniel Lund Brix Jørgensen Work boots 👍

Peter Herguth I started with the suggested adidas indoor soccer shoe. But I’ve been avoiding them lately as the arch support is too high, and they’re too narrow for my feet. Also looking for some alternatives

Nichole Reigle I got the Nike Metcon3 and have been impressed with how well they work. Even heavy sled on a somewhat slick surface they have been great.

Richard Van Acker Jr I wear sambas for most carrying events. I used my work boots for yoke. I’ll use my old shoes if it’s a carry and load.

Marc Bevins I’ve used nano’s…anything with more side support is helpful. I walk on the outsides of my feet, so end up rolling over the outer edge of running shoes.

Cara Brennan Nano7 from Reebok, love em
