COAST IS BACK April 15, 2017
Last year, over 60 women from all over the country came to Santa Cruz to compete in the inaugural California’s Strongest Woman competition. Over $5,000 in prize money was raised between sponsors and athlete donations and more importantly a very clear message resounded through all strength sports:

The Strongmom Comeback

The transition from pregnancy to birth to post-partum is one of the most significant, life changing events a woman can experience. You’ve brought a human into the world and it’s a wonderful thing but…it’s also really hard work — which you will have to do with not enough hours in the day and on not enough sleep. Add getting back to strongman training into the mix, and you have a whole new set of challenges. But fear not, ladies. As with every situation in life, there is someone out there who has walked this road before you, and might have some insight that will just make it all better. Well, maybe not all better, but at least easier.
Kalle & Mike talk about Europes Strongest Man arguably the most entertaining show of the year with an amazing battle between Eddie Hall and Hafpor Bjornsson that came down to the stones.
After the Botswana tourism falsely reported the dates a few months ago the location and dates were officially announced today by The Worlds Strongest Man.
Last year Eddie Hall shocked the world by deadlifting 500kg at Europes Strongest Man this year the lead up was about the axle clean & press for max. A lift that hasn’t been contested at a high level in a few years in fact the previous record was set in 2010 by Zydrunas Savickas with 215kg but Eddie Hall managed to best that with an impressive lift of 216kg and it looked like he could do a whole lot more. read more…
You can make the argument that Europes Strongest Man is the third most prestige title in the sport of Strongman behind just World’s and the Arnold Classic but it is number 1 in live attendance growing over the past few years to selling 11,000+ tickets specifically to watch Strongman it sets a standard all other shows should strive to achieve.
