Picking The Right Assistance Exercises (Video)

Most of you know that your training should revolve around the big 4 power movements and their variations (squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press) but how do you pick the right assistance lifts to help you progress? Should you just do whatever varations you see your favorite lifter doing on Instagram?

There is a better way to find what works for you. Your accessory lifts should target specific muscle groups that accentuate the main lift of the day and what you need to make stronger to improve on the main lift.

Your accessory work should also be picked to help bring balance in your muscularity and strength to help prevent injuries.
